THE WEDGE for KOMODO OG
THE WEDGE for KOMODO OG is our power solution for the RED KOMODO OG 6K (original) camera and is available in both V-mount and Gold mount. The WEDGE offers 1.02″ (26mm) of clearance making it super easy to access to your SDI and EXT 9pin ports . It offers unregulated power on 2x D-taps with recessed positive pins (so ground always connects first), 1x 2pin 0B (lemo style) output, and features a DC input (can also be used for hot-swapping with a d-tap or safetap power cable).
THE WEDGE for KOMODO OG plugs directly into the protected DC input of the camera keeping your BP battery pins safe and is unbreakable via firmware updates. It does not show battery status in the camera but most batteries have a meter built in, you can also set the camera low voltage alarm or use one of our popular V-TAP voltage meters that plugs into a d-tap port for live voltage status.
NOTE: The V-mount option can be oriented both horizontally and vertically. Gold mount in vertical mode restricts access to one of the D-tap ports and 2pin output and is not ideal.
Port Orientation:
V-mount in horizontal mode: 2x offset D-taps on top. 2pin output on the operator side. DC input on AC side.
V-mount in vertical mode: 2x offset D-taps are on the AC side. 2pin output on top, right side. DC input on bottom right side.
Gold mount in horizontal mode: 1x D-tap on operator side, 1x D-tap on AC side. 2pin output on operator side. DC input on bottom AC side.
Gold mount in vertical mode (restricts access to 2x ports and is not ideal) : 1x D-tap on top. 1x DC input on top right. 1x D-tap and 2pin output are on the bottom (not usable when SDI plugged in)

Materials: WEDGE base structure is CNC machined aluminum. Our lightweight battery plate is made from MJF (Multi-Jet Fusion) nylon polymer.
