7-color screenprint on Mohawk Cream 100# Cover“I was struck by Lecter’s unnerving gaze throughout the film, and I wanted to bring that chilling sensation to the final art while referencing some iconic scenes from the film in the moth’s silhouettes. To make the artwork come to life, I chose to draw him extending a lone finger forward as if he were reaching out from the poster towards the viewer. The only thing protecting Starling from Lecter was inch-thick plexiglass, and when it comes time to frame my copy, I might have to use the same.” – Nate Sweitzer
