Add precise range data to every LR1 capture with Freefly’s LR1 Laser Range Finder Upgrade. The lightweight 45 g module houses a Lightware SF20/C sensor that measures up to 100 m at 70 % reflectivity and updates at 5 Hz inside Auterion Mission Control.*
Installation is field-simple: four screws secure the LRF to the LR1 payload, the supplied counterweight restores gimbal balance, and a single plug taps the expansion port. During flight, pilots see continuous distance readouts; each photo stores the exact range in its metadata for survey, inspection, or volume-calculation workflows.
*Adding additional modules on the LR1 payload will require a different counterweight.
**The use of the distance sensor requires an additional app to be installed on Astro.
